Job summary

Kai Seng Construction Pte. Ltd. in Singapore is seeking a hands-on Rebar Foreman to lead a crew of 10–20 workers.

You will supervise cutting, bending, and fixing rebars, assign daily tasks, and ensure work meets design and safety standards on site. You will plan weekly and daily activities, coordinate with formwork and concreting teams, conduct toolbox talks, monitor inventory, and enforce the WSH Act to keep the project on schedule.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Rebar Foreman or Senior Rebar Worker in the construction industry.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Ability to adapt to the site environment and complete high-intensity tasks on schedule.
• Singapore Citizens and Permanent Residents will be given priority.

Responsibilities

• Take full charge of rebar activities: leading, supervising, and motivating a team of rebar workers.
• Provide clear technical briefings to the team to guide site operations.
• Ensure all rebar works comply with design requirements (bar size, spacing, lap length, concrete cover) and pass inspections.
• Develop detailed weekly and daily work plans coordinating with other trades to avoid delays.
• Act as the primary interface for rebar works; report progress to project managers and client representatives.
• Enforce workplace safety by following the WSH Act and conducting toolbox talks.

Job description

• Site Management & Team Leadership: Take full charge of rebar activities. Lead, supervise, and motivate a team of rebar workers in cutting, bending, handling, and fixing rebars. Efficiently assign daily tasks, ensure a smooth workflow, and achieve production targets.
• Planning: Provided clear technical briefings to the team to guide site operations.
• Quality Control & Compliance: Ensure all rebar works, including bar size, spacing, lap length, and concrete cover, fully comply with design requirements. Conduct self-inspections and prepare work for official checks.
• Progress & Material Management: Develop detailed weekly and daily work plans to ensure rebar activities are well-coordinated with other trades (e.g., formwork, concreting) and do not delay the overall project schedule. Manage rebar material delivery, inventory, and usage to minimize waste.
• Workplace Safety: Act as the responsible person for workplace safety, enforcing the WSH Act. Conduct daily Tool Box Meetings, ensure proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and proactively identify and mitigate potential hazards to maintain a safe working environment.
• Communication & Coordination: Serve as the primary interface for rebar works. Maintain effective communication with project managers, client representatives, consultant engineers, and other trade foremen (e.g., Formwork Foreman) to report progress and resolve site issues promptly.
