Job summary

TEAMLEASE DIGITAL SINGAPORE PTE. LTD. is seeking a Messaging Engineer to design, build, and maintain real-time messaging infrastructure linking factory-floor automation, MES, and IT platforms.

You will enable low-latency data streaming from equipment to cloud applications. The role emphasizes Kafka or MQTT-based systems, topic design, data schemas, and ensuring high reliability with minimal data loss. You will collaborate with developers to optimize producer/consumer performance and monitor

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with Apache Kafka or similar messaging systems.
• Design real-time pub/sub pipelines and data schemas.
• Proficient in Java or Python.
• Solid understanding of messaging internals: clustering, retention, consumer groups, and offset management.

Responsibilities

• Deploy and manage distributed message brokers (Kafka or MQTT-based systems).
• Design topics/channels and data schemas for consistent event structure (equipment status, test results, alarms).
• Optimize pipelines for low latency, high reliability, and zero data loss/duplication.
• Implement monitoring and alerting (throughput, lag, error rates) and troubleshoot issues.
• Collaborate with developers to integrate applications with the messaging layer and tune performance.
