Redstone Commodity Search are working with an international commodities group looking to strengthen their Asian trading team with a steel raw materials trader.

Key Responsibilities / Tasks

• Third party trading of steel raw materials; manganese, chrome, ferroalloys, iron ore, coal etc.
• Utilize your market knowledge, negotiation skills, and industry connections to secure profitable deals and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and clients.
• Conduct thorough research on the global steel industry, including market trends, supply and demand dynamics, and price fluctuations for raw materials.
• Source and identify potential suppliers and buyers for steel raw materials.
• Assess and manage risks associated with steel raw materials trading, such as credit risks, market volatility, and supply disruptions.

Key Qualifications / Experience

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in trading either; manganese, chrome, ferroalloys, iron ore or coal etc.
• Transferable trade book with clients across the raw material supply chain.
• Demonstrable knowledge of the global steel markets and raw materials supply chains.
• Proficiency in risk management and a strategic approach to trading activities.
• Based in Singapore.
