Primary Objectives of Position
- To manage the buildings and installation, Mechanical services and installations, and Civil Defence equipment of NEL, SPLRT and DTL to ensure safety, reliability and availability of all the installations, stations, depot and buildings meet the standards of SBS Transit.
Major Responsibilities
- Ensure availability of systems to meet the revenue service and/or authority requirements.
- Ensure the reliability of systems to meet passengers, staff and contractor’s safety requirements.
- Conduct system performance review and revise maintenance strategies and methodologies to enhance system performance and reliability
- Manage outsourced maintenance contracts to meet performance, cost and safety requirements.
- Develop contractor key performance indicators and supervise contractors to deliver their services meeting our expectation
- Develop contracting frame work to encourage contractors to improve their performance and upgrade professionally
- Plan and forecast budget and logistics.
- Review and advise management on all technical matters related to building and Mechanical services maintenance and improvement in reliability, operating cost and performance.
- Manage and lead the Maintenance staff to perform their roles efficiently and professionally.
- To lead and support sustainability and environmental conservation effort
- Oversee safety, non-safety station inspections and maintenance audits conducted by LTA and ensure positive outcome
- Carry out assignments assigned by the Head of Rail Facilities Management.

Specific Safety Responsibilities
- To review feedback on safety related issues from Facilities Maintenance as well as other departments
- To be involved in the investigation of Incident/Accident and develop preventive action plan to avoid repeat.
- To conduct periodic review of Departmental Work Instruction Manual and Risk Assessment.
- To conduct periodic safety inspection on work site premises.
- To conduct periodic safety talk on systems operation to his subordinates.
- To review the performance of the contractors and system availability and reliability

Job Specifications
Minimum Education / Qualifications
- A recognised degree in Engineering, building services, facilities management
Minimum Years of Relevant Experience
- Preferably 10 years relevant experience in building/rapid transit system E & M services maintenance
Knowledge/Skills
- Possess good leadership, management, interpersonal and communication skills
