Job summary

WECRUIT PTE. LTD. is seeking a Radiographer to perform comprehensive diagnostic imaging procedures in a hospital setting, ensuring adherence to SOPs, clinical standards, and radiation safety. You will verify patient identity, guarantee image quality, and correctly label studies for reporting.

You will explain procedures to patients, provide patient-centred care, and participate in on-call duties as required, with emphasis on QA and documentation in a regulated environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor in Applied Science (Radiography) or Diploma in Radiography from recognized institutions.
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience as a Radiographer in diagnostic imaging.
  • Able to commit to on-call.
  • Knowledge of PACS system will be added advantages.

Responsibilities

  • Perform a comprehensive range of diagnostic imaging procedures per SOPs and established clinical standards.
  • Verify patient identity and ensure the correct examination with consent and radiation safety requirements.
  • Ensure images are of optimal quality, properly labelled, and ready for reporting.
  • Enter examination codes accurately into the RIS.
  • Explain the examination process to patients in a clear, professional manner.
  • Provide safe, compassionate, patient-centred care before, during and after the examination.
  • Apply radiation protection measures in compliance with regulations.
  • Participate in on-call and after-hours radiology services as required.
  • Perform routine QA and basic equipment checks to ensure optimal operation.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and comply with hospital policies.

Job description

  • Perform a comprehensive range of diagnostic imaging procedures provided by the hospital, ensuring high standards of service quality, patient care, operational efficiency, and productivity.
  • Perform all diagnostic imaging procedures in accordance with the Hospital's Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and established clinical standards.
  • Verify patient identity, ensure the correct examination is performed, and adhere to radiation safety requirements and procedural consent protocols as outlined in the SOPs.
  • Ensure all diagnostic images are of optimal quality, accurately labelled, and that the requested examination is completed prior to submission for reporting or release to the patient.
  • Ensure the examination code entered into the Radiology Information System (RIS) accurately corresponds to the requested procedure.
  • Explain the examination process, including its purpose, procedure, and expected duration, to patients in a clear and professional manner.
  • Provide safe, compassionate, and patient-centred care by ensuring patients' physical comfort, safety, privacy, and emotional well-being before, during, and after the examination.
  • Apply appropriate radiation protection measures to safeguard patients, staff, and the public from unnecessary exposure to ionising radiation in compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in on-call and after-hours services as required, ensuring timely response and continuity of radiology services in accordance with hospital standards.
  • Perform routine quality assurance (QA) and basic equipment performance checks in accordance with manufacturers' recommendations and departmental protocols to ensure equipment operates optimally.
  • Maintain accurate and complete documentation related to imaging procedures and departmental activities.
  • Comply with all hospital policies, quality assurance programmes, infection prevention and control measures, and relevant statutory and professional regulations.
Requirements
  • Bachelor in Applied Science (Radiography) or Diploma in Radiography from recognized institutions.
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience as a Radiographer in diagnostic imaging facility.
  • Able to commit to on-call.
  • Knowledge of PACS system will be added advantages.
