Qualifications

  • Registered with AHPC (Allied Health Professions Council), Singapore.

  • Familiar with X-ray safety and radiation protection practices.
  • Good technical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Able to work in a team or independently with minimum supervision.
  • Able to conduct most x-ray tests (if not all).

The Radiographer performs diagnostic imaging examinations such as X-rays or CT scans. They are responsible for patient safety, accurate image capture, and radiation protection measures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provides imaging services to patients as requested by referring physicians or as allowed by statutory regulations and according to acceptable standards.
  • To ensure familiarization of use and correct handling of imaging equipment to avoid incorrect equipment usage.
  • To conduct necessary quality assurance tests before equipment is used on patients.
  • Operate X-ray or imaging equipment to capture diagnostic images.
  • Ensure correct patient positioning and imaging protocols.
  • Follow radiation safety guidelines to protect patients and staff.
  • Maintain imaging equipment, calibration, servicing and report malfunctions.
