Job summary

National University Hospital in Singapore is seeking a Radiation Therapist to coordinate, plan and administer precise radiation treatment for patients. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support patients throughout their radiotherapy journey.

The role involves CT-simulation, treatment delivery, safety practices, and mentoring student therapists while contributing to departmental development and research initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Radiation Technology or related field.
• 3 years of clinical experience preferred; fresh graduates considered for entry level.
• Competent in clinical radiation therapy pre-treatment and delivery procedures.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills; service oriented and team oriented.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT-simulation and dosimetry calculations according to treatment protocol and plan approved by Radiation Oncologist.
• Operate radiation therapy machine and equipment per SOPs and safety practices.
• Adhere to safe radiation practices, occupational health, infection control.
• Conduct quality assurance checks on radiation therapy equipment to ensure proper operation.
• Maintain accurate record and documentation of radiation dose delivered to patient.
• Maintain high standards of patient care, clinical communication and timely escalation of side effects.
• Guide and mentor student Radiation Therapist assigned to unit.
• Participate in departmental professional development, education and research activities.
• Assume additional responsibilities assigned by supervisor.
