Job description

Software Senior Engineer

Our Software Engineering team ensures that our next-generation software is of the highest quality. We conduct a wide range of quality control tests and analyses to ensure that our software meets or exceeds end-user requirements. We debug software products, oversee the development of test plans, ensure system tests are documented, analyze the results, provide feedback to developers and make sure that all problems are resolved. We also select testing specifications for new products and ensure testing procedures comply with industry-specific standards.

You Will

• Design and develop cloud-based security capabilities, focusing on Microservices, Identity and Access Management (IAM), Data Encryption and Protection, Network Security, and Cloud Platform Security.
• Research emerging security technologies and propose innovative, cutting‑edge solutions to improve Dell Private cloud solutions security posture and capabilities continuously.
• Develop functional and design specifications to support product requirements. Develop component‑level test plans and automation to validate security functionalities.
• Assist in fostering teamwork and collaboration.

Essential skills

• Requires experience with: software development using Spring Boot, web APIs and languages, including Java, Python, and Golang; designing and implementing cloud software capabilities with any one of following: Azure, AWS, GCP, and OCI;
• Identity and Access Management (IAM), Encryption, PKI, CI/CD, security logging and monitoring; cloud‑native and cloud authentication mechanisms such as OAuth, OpenID Connect, or Security Assertion Markup Language (SAML); distributed systems, networking, and database fundamentals; and Kubernetes and container-based environments.

Desired skills

• Master’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related fields plus three (3) plus years of experience as a Software Developer, Java Developer, or related role.
• Alternatively, employer accepts a Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related fields plus five (5) years of experience as a Software Developer, Java Developer, or related role.
