Responsibilities include conducting simulations using tools like ANSYS Fluent, supporting R&D initiatives, and optimizing designs for additive manufacturing. Ideal candidates should have relevant degrees and experience, along with proficiency in simulation tools. Competitive salary and growth opportunities available.
The client is a world-renowned electronics manufacturing company headquartered in Taiwan, recognized as one of the largest technology solution providers globally. They are expanding their R&D presence in Singapore. The below position is open urgently.
Location: Singapore (with ~15% travel within Asia)
Employment Type: Full-time | Regular Office Hour
About the Role:
Join the simulation-driven innovation team to develop next-generation heat management technologies. This position focuses on CFD and multi-scale thermal modelling to support advanced additive manufacturing (AM) systems. You will collaborate globally to optimize design, process, and system performance — with growth opportunities into materials simulation (thermodynamics, kinetics, and microstructure modelling).
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct CFD and heat transfer simulations using commercial software (e.g., ANSYS Fluent, Flow3D, OpenFOAM).
Develop customized CFD models to optimize AM process parameters and new machine designs.
Refine models for higher accuracy through sensitivity studies and solver optimization.
Participate in global problem-solving activities for product and process development.
Support engineering improvements and new product launches.
Drive R&D initiatives through technical reports, white papers, and patent proposals.
Evaluate and develop new 3D printing simulation tools (commercial or open-source).
Provide short-term overseas technical support as required.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Computational Physics, or Materials Science.
Proficiency in CFD and simulation tools such as ANSYS Fluent, Flow3D, or OpenFOAM.
Experience with Python/MATLAB scripting or UDF development preferred.
Minimum 3 years’ relevant experience in heat transfer or fluid dynamics simulation.
Good knowledge of manufacturing or product design is a plus.
