Job summary

A food technology company in Singapore is seeking an R&D Assistant - FOOD TECHNOLOGIST to support the R&D department in product development and quality control. The ideal candidate should have a diploma in Food Science or Food Technology and at least a year of experience in food seasoning. Responsibilities include maintaining the R&D lab, performing quality checks, and assisting in documentation for HACCP and Halal compliance. This position offers a competitive salary of $2500 - $3000.

R&D Assistant - FOOD TECHNOLOGIST

0830am to 1730pm / 5 days

$2500 - $3000

Job scopes:

• To maintain and support the R&D department in seasoning compounding, new development and its application;
• To support monthly new seasoning or application method development and promotional item and their presentation;
• To request new raw materials or flavor sourcing for new product development to the Purchasing Dept;
• To handle all new raw material registration, documentation and evaluation;
• To perform QC such as sensory and visual checks on all finished products produced by the seasoning manufacturing line and incoming raw materials or new raw materials;
• To evaluate current and alternative food ingredients.
• To maintain the R&D laboratory and ensure cleanliness within the laboratory.
• To carry out plant hygiene check.
• To assist in the running and maintenance of HACCP and Halal quality system and its documentation.
• Any other work as shall be assigned by the Company from time to time.

Requirements

Diploma Food Science / Food Technology
