Job description

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic R&D Center Manager to lead our research and development initiatives in lubricants and greases. The ideal candidate will have extensive industry experience and a strong technical background, along with proven leadership skills to drive innovation and strategic growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the overall management of the R&D center, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
• Develop and implement the R&D center’s strategic plan, including product development, OEM certification, and manufacturing process optimization.
• Lead and coordinate domestic and international R&D resources to drive innovation and enhance technical capabilities.
• Collaborate with research institutions to develop and execute scientific research projects.
• Manage laboratory operations, technical services, and quality control processes.
• Develop talent strategies, including workforce planning, recruitment, and professional development.
• Ensure compliance with HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) and regulatory requirements.

Key Requirements

• Master's degree in Chemical Engineering and Technology, Chemical Science, or a related field.
• At least 10 years of industry experience in lubricant and grease research and development. Must include minimum 3 years of experience in frontline or operational roles.
• Strong knowledge of lubricating base oil production processes, associated equipment, and performance indicators.
• Certification as an Internal Auditor, with training in IAG & VDA DFMEA, IATF 16949, and ISO 9001, is preferred.
• Has engaged in a senior-level position related to engineering or research.
• Strong leadership, project management, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Ability to work with global teams and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in both spoken and written English and Chinese is required to effectively communicate with clients in China and collaborate with relevant research teams.
