Job description

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze customer requirements, technical specifications, and engineering drawings to develop precise cost quotations.
• Evaluate material, labor, and production costs to formulate competitive pricing structures.
• Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and production teams to develop cost-effective and feasible solutions.
• Review Requests for Quotation (RFQs) to assess alignment with manufacturing capabilities and resource availability.
• Prepare and present detailed cost breakdowns and pricing proposals for customer review.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, quality benchmarks, and internal company policies in all cost estimations.
• Identify and recommend cost-saving measures and process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and profitability.
• Maintain an organized and up-to-date quotation database, including pricing history and records.
• Communicate and negotiate with suppliers and vendors to secure competitive rates for materials and services.
• Provide technical support to the sales team, including pricing justifications and insight into production feasibility.
• Monitor and follow up on submitted quotations to convert opportunities into confirmed orders.
• Stay informed on industry trends, material costs, and market conditions to maintain competitive pricing strategies.

Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Prior experience in cost estimation, quotations, or manufacturing processes is an advantage.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or other design software is desirable.
• Strong analytical skills and keen attention to detail in pricing and cost estimation.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and engineering documents accurately.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
• Capable of working effectively under pressure and meeting tight deadlines in a dynamic environment.
• Solid understanding of CNC machining and general manufacturing operations.
• Strong negotiation skills, with experience in sourcing and vendor communication.
