The Fraunhofer Singapore Research Centre at NTU is seeking a Research Associate / Research Fellow (full-time) focusing on quantum hacking and QKD security evaluation. You will join an interdisciplinary team of quantum security experts, QKD engineers, optical physicists, and cryptographic evaluators to build and validate frameworks for testing and certifying QKD systems in lab and production environments.

Qualificações

PhD or MSc/MEng in Physics, Electrical Engineering, or Quantum Technology.
Strong foundation in QKD theory and protocols with practical insight.
Laboratory expertise in optical alignment and quantum components.

Responsabilidades

Conduct advanced R&D in practical security evaluation of QKD systems.
Perform vulnerability analysis and side-channel studies of QKD.
Develop metrology procedures for quantifying security-relevant parameters.
Reproduce quantum hacking scenarios to test QKD robustness.
Build prototypes and proof-of-concept systems for practical evaluation.
Create hardware and software security evaluation instruments and testbeds.
Prepare technical reports and datasets to support standardization and benchmarking.
Translate research insights into tools and frameworks for quantum security testing.
Contribute to publications in international venues.
