Job summary

National University of Singapore's Centre for Quantum Technologies invites applications for a Research Fellow (Middleware Developer) based at Kent Ridge Campus. The role focuses on software development for quantum computing research, including middleware, drivers, and calibration workflows.

You will work with Python and modern C++ in a Linux environment, refactor large codebases, and contribute to HPC-oriented scientific software, with opportunities to collaborate across physics and computing

Qualifications

Master’s degree or PhD in Theoretical/Experimental Physics, Software Engineering or Computer Science or a related field.
Hands-on experience with software development, debugging, and performance analysis.
Experience with quantum computing simulation and HPC environments is a plus.

Responsibilities

Develop application software and middleware for quantum computing projects.
Refactor, port, and optimize large codebases in Python/C++ on Linux.
Develop software drivers for quantum control and calibration workflows.
Collaborate across physics and computing teams to share results and improve tooling.
Supervise junior team members and contribute to training materials.
