Job summary

NTU's Centre for Quantum Technologies invites applications for a Research Fellow position in Quantum-Enhanced Learning, Agents and Algorithms. The successful candidate will conduct independent and collaborative research across quantum information science, ML, and related theory at NTU.

The role involves developing theoretical frameworks and algorithms, publishing in high-impact venues, securing research proposals, and presenting findings at conferences and seminars.

Qualifications

• PhD in Quantum Information, Theoretical Physics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Machine Learning, or a closely related discipline.
• Demonstrated research excellence through publications, conference presentations, or related scholarly achievements.
• Knowledge in one or more areas: quantum algorithms, stochastic processes, ML & statistical learning theory, RL, differential privacy, model reduction, quantum reservoir computing, variational circuits, quantum thermodynamics.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and quantitative research skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and within multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Conduct high-quality research in quantum-enhanced learning and related areas.
• Develop new theoretical models, methodologies, and algorithms.
• Publish research outcomes in leading journals and conferences.
• Prepare grant applications, technical reports, and research presentations.
• Collaborate with internal and external researchers across disciplines.
• Contribute to supervision and development of graduate students.
• Support achievement of research milestones and project objectives.
