A leading construction firm in Singapore seeks a Quantity Surveyor to prepare cost comparisons and manage contract negotiations. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of QS experience in main-contractor companies, along with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Job Description:
Prepare and analyze cost comparison
Obtaining quotations, liaising and negotiate with sub-contractors and suppliers
Responsible for measuring quantities and taking off
Prepare Variation Orders, claims, final accounts, settlement and sub-contractor payments
All other QS related job as assigned
Job Requirements:
Min Degree / Diploma in QS / Building / Engineering or its equivalent
Min 3 years and above QS experience in main-contractor companies in Singapore.
Proven ability in contract negotiation, contract administration & variation orders
Supporting VO, progress claim, contract administration and documentation for the project
Able to work independently, be meticulous, analytical with excellent problem-solving skills, proactive, a good team player & able to meet tight deadlines
Job Description & Requirements
Able to interpret civil, structural drawings and details
Lead, coordinate and mange civil & structure of the project
To lead the C&S Team in planning and execution of day – to – day operations
Ensure civil and structural requirements meet project submission and project schedule
Be responsible for the planning and scheduling of time and resources for building construction projects
Responsible for all on-site technical and engineering matters
To ensure works carried out meet company’s quality standards & contractual requirements
To monitor project progress and schedule and track the progress and time required when there is a delay/disruption to project
To develop detailed workplans and cost estimations of approved items to forecast cost and workforce requirements to allow efficient scheduling of works
Execute overall scheduling and specific planning work
Design, implement progress and schedule control systems for the project according to set requirements
Experienced in performing construction planning, and to co-ordinate with the client, sub-contractors, consultants and Authorities on all project aspects
To Assist Project Manager in monthly progress claims and monthly progress reports
To ensure that all requirements by Clients, Consultants and relevant Authorities are adhered and established
Minimum 3 years of experience from Construction / Building / Engineering industry
Recognised Degree by PEB
With RTO qualification will be an added advantage
