Job description

Quantity Surveyor (Construction/Tender) - Up to $4500 + AWS – AMK

Position: Quantity Surveyor (Construction/Tender)

Location: Ang Mo Kio

Working hours: 5.5 Days – Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5.30pm, Saturday 8.30am-12.30pm (standby at home for urgent matters)

Salary: Up to $4,500 + AWS + Variable Bonus + 14 days annual leave

Duration: Permanent

Responsibilities

• Evaluation of tender, preparation of tender submission and Bill of Quantity
• Establish database for costs, materials and supply sources.
• Calculate the cost of construction for a project (pre-contract) based on drawings and documents.
• Assist in the assessment of all contractual claims, work progress, etc.
• Invite subcontractors of various trades to submit quotations for the projects and evaluate the quotation accordingly for the necessary award of the Sub‑Con.
• Preparation of project budgets, reports and cost estimation.
• Monitor budget and keep track of direct costs on projects.
• Resolve any outstanding claim issues on final accounts and variation orders promptly.

Requirements

• Diploma/Degree in QS course or equivalent.
• Minimum 1-2 years relevant experience, preferably in similar industry.
