Job summary

A leading main contractor in Singapore is looking for a Quantity Surveyor to manage and monitor project budgets and costs. The ideal candidate should have a Diploma/Degree in Quantity Surveyor and at least 2 years of relevant experience. Qualifications

Job description

We are a BCA registered Main Contractor mainly engaging in Governement projects. We are a B2 General Builder grade and currently looking for competent personnel to join our expanding team.

Job Description
  • Manage and monitor all budget & cost control of Projects assigned and ensure project runs within budget
  • Handle project from award of contract till completion including final accounts.
  • Prepare procurement list and schedule according to Architect specification and project schedule.
  • Source, liaise, compile and evaluate quotations from respective subcontractors according to requirement, specification and time schedule including drafting of Subcontract Document.
  • Record all defects of works, ensure proper documentation for all variation orders and others.
  • Ensure timely submission of VO cost on day to day or weekly basis and communicate with project manager; timely submission of monthly progress claims; final account closing.
  • Evaluate all VO claims from sub-contractors and ensure all the variation orders are carried out in order & according to proper procedure.
  • Effective follow up on payment certificate to sub-contractors and payment advice to client
  • Handle progress claims/payments, VO & finalize projects
  • Other ad-hoc duties as assigned
Job Requirement
  • Diploma/Degree in Quantity Surveyor.
  • Min 2-years of experience in Quantity Surveyor or relevant.
  • Able to communicate and liaise with co-workers, subcontractors and suppliers
  • Good communication skills and ability to work independently under minimal supervision, good knowledge in local standards & requirements.
