A leading design firm in Singapore is seeking a professional to manage cost estimates and budgets for commercial interior design projects. The role involves evaluating supplier quotations, monitoring expenditures, and ensuring compliance with regulations. Ideal candidates should have experience in cost management and negotiation in the interior design sector, along with knowledge of local building codes.
· Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and procurement plans for commercial interior design projects (size up to ~ 20,000sqft)
· Conduct material take-offs and prepare bills of quantities (BOQ)
· Evaluate and negotiate quotations from suppliers, subcontractors and vendors
· Monitor project expenditures, progress claims and variations to ensure cost control
· Work closely with project managers, designers and contractors to align budgets with design specifications
· Assess contract terms, manage progress payments and handle final account settlements
· Conduct site visits to verify work progress and ensure compliance with contractual agreements
· Identify potential cost-saving opportunities while maintaining project quality.
· Ensure compliance with Singapore’s building codes, contracts and procurement regulations
