A leading construction firm in Singapore is seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor to oversee cost management and procurement for various construction projects. The role involves preparing cost estimates, managing contracts, and conducting site visits to ensure project compliance with financial and regulatory standards. Ideal candidates will have a degree in Quantity Surveying, experience in the Singapore construction industry, and proficiency in relevant software tools. Strong analytical and communication skills are essential for success in this position.
Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and tender submissions for construction projects.
Conduct quantity take-offs, measurements, and cost breakdowns from drawings and specifications.
Prepare and evaluate Bill of Quantities (BOQ) and cost schedules according to SMM (Singapore Standard Method of Measurement).
Prepare and review contracts, tender documents, and subcontract agreements.
Manage contractual claims, variations, and change orders.
Ensure compliance with Singapore building regulations, BCA requirements, and contractual obligations.
Source and evaluate material prices, supplier quotations, and subcontractor bids.
Prepare procurement schedules and assist in negotiation to achieve cost savings.
Track project expenditure and monitor cost vs. budget throughout the project life cycle.
Prepare interim valuations, progress claims, and final accounts.
Identify potential cost impacts and provide cost control strategies to the project team.
Conduct site visits to verify progress and measurements.
Coordinate with project managers, engineers, consultants, and clients.
Provide cost advice and updates during project meetings.
Prepare monthly cost reports, cash flow forecasts, and cost summaries.
Update management on budget status, risks, and financial performance.
Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying, Building, Construction Management, or equivalent.
Knowledge of Singapore construction industry standards, BCA regulations & SMM.
Proficient in AutoCAD, MS Office, and QS measurement software.
Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
Experience in building, civil, M&E, or infrastructure projects is an advantage.
