Job summary

DAIZU E & C PTE. LTD. is seeking a Quantity Surveying professional to assist in measurement, cost control and claims administration on construction projects in Singapore.

You will support subcontractor payments, compile variation orders, and help coordinate with design and site teams while learning contractual rights and escalation procedures. This entry-level role offers exposure to final accounts and cost escalation alerts.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in Quantity Surveying, Building or Civil Engineering.
• Knowledge of cost estimation, measurement and claims processes.
• Familiarity with construction contracts and variation orders.

Responsibilities

• Ensure accurate measurement of quantities to assist in progress payment claims, variation orders and final accounts.
• Assist in maintaining documentation of events at site for variation orders and EOT claims.
• Advise coordinators on contracted design requirements and procurement of subcontractors and materials.
• Attend technical meetings to stay updated on design development and provide cost escalation alerts.
• Learn contractual rights of the Main Contractor to advise on choke points at site and management.

• Ensure accurate measurement of quantities to assist in the preparation of progress payment claims, variation order claims and payments to subcontractors and suppliers including all final accounts;
• Assist in maintaining good documentation of events at site for variation order / EOT claims;
• Be familiar with the specifications and scope of works at various stages of the project so as to be able to advise the structural, architectural and M&E coordinators on the contracted design requirements;
• Assist in the procurement of sub-contractors and suppliers of specified materials;
• Attend technical meetings to keep abreast of design development issues and provide cost escalation alerts;
• Learn and be adequately briefed on the contractual / legal rights of the Main Contractor in order to advise colleagues at site and the management on any choke points during the project.
