Job summary

A global management consulting firm in Singapore is seeking an experienced quantitative researcher to enhance trading strategies through data-driven modeling and machine learning techniques. You will monitor trading systems, perform quantitative analyses, and communicate market insights effectively. Ideal candidates have at least 3 years of relevant experience and a strong programming background in languages like Python or R.

Responsibilities
  • Research and apply existing trading strategies to new financial products through data-driven modeling and analysis.
  • Perform quantitative research on trade and market data, including post-trade analysis, to refine and improve strategies.
  • Monitor trading systems in real time, identify anomalies or inefficiencies, and propose actionable improvements.
  • Communicate key market events, news, and system performance updates clearly and concisely to team members.
  • Design, develop, and backtest new models and trading strategies using advanced statistical and machine learning techniques.
  • Utilize mathematical modeling and algorithmic methods to detect trading signals, forecast market movements, and optimize execution.
  • Evaluate and challenge existing methodologies to enhance performance and contribute to continuous innovation.
  • Ensure product quotations remain stable, accurate, and timely to maintain top-tier execution quality within the industry.
Requirements
  • At least 3 years of experience in quantitative research/analysis with a focus on machine learning, algorithms, optimization, or statistics.
  • Familiarity with programming in Python, R, or similar languages
  • Can advocate for your perspectives on trading strategies and risk in a concise manner to the team
  • Familiarity with market microstructure concepts, synthetic products, and electronic trading environments
