Job summary

Engineers Gate in Singapore seeks a graduate-level Quantitative Research Intern to contribute to ongoing signal development and data infrastructure. You will gain hands-on exposure to the full quantitative research process and may be considered for a full-time Quantitative Researcher role.

You will research and develop alpha signals, read and implement research papers, build reusable tools, and write production-quality Python code, turning raw datasets into validated inputs for global equities

Qualifications

• Master’s or PhD degree in Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
• Excellent attention to detail and strong written and verbal communication.
• Strong programming skills in Python.
• Strong mathematical, statistical, programming, and problem-solving skills.
• Financial or quantitative research experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Research and develop alpha signals that combine sound economic reasoning with rigorous statistical validation
• Scout, read, digest, and implement research papers competently and efficiently
• Develop reusable research tools that make the research process faster and more robust
• Write clean, well-documented, production-quality code
• Communicate findings and recommendations clearly
• Turn raw, varied datasets into clean, validated inputs for global equities alpha research
