Job summary

Citadel is seeking a 2026 Intern in Asia for quantitative research. You will conceptualize valuation strategies, develop and improve mathematical models, and translate algorithms into code. The role involves back testing and live trading signal implementation, using unconventional data sources to drive innovation.

You will conduct rigorous research and statistical analysis to build monetization systems for trading signals, with opportunities in Hong Kong and Singapore.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in a highly quantitative field (math, statistics, physics, CS).
• Strong knowledge of probability and statistics (ML, time-series, pattern recognition, NLP).
• Prior experience in a data-driven research environment.
• Experience translating mathematical models into code (Python, R or C++).
• Independent research experience.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced team environment.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
