Job summary

Standard Chartered Bank is seeking a Haskell developer for front office Modelling and Analytics Group. You will work on diverse financial market projects, including GUI and server-side components, using Haskell/Mu.

The role requires architecture design, stakeholder communication, and project leadership. After an initial three-month in-office period, the role can be performed flexibly in time and location, but only from the country of payroll.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience as a software developer.
• Strong computer science background with data structures and algorithms.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Haskell experience preferred or strong background in statically typed functional languages such as Scala or OCaml.
• Experience with C++, Kafka, networking protocols and distributed systems is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Deliver robust, high-performance software and quantitative analyses.
• Integrate solutions within the larger Credit Risk Platform ecosystem.
• Understand credit risk modelling to bridge the gap between quants and technology.
• Develop and enhance software to deliver regulatory requirements for the bank.
• Lead and collaborate with risk quants to expose models at scale.
