Job summary

Virtu Financial in Singapore offers a Quantitative Trading Internship where you will work with senior traders on real trading problems, gaining hands-on experience across desks like FX, Fixed Income, Options, ETFs, and Energy. You’ll solve problems as they arise and participate in a curated training program during the 10-week summer.

You’ll be mentored by senior traders, with a focus on market making and stepping into the financial technology space.

Qualifications

• Rising juniors or students ready for full-time employment between December 2027 and June 2028
• Excellent academic background (all majors welcome)
• Outstanding quantitative problem-solving skills and mathematical aptitude
• Some programming experience is required (Python, SQL, Java or C++ are a plus)
• A physicalizer; a person who identifies issues and creates solutions without rigid direction or fanfare
• Highly motivated and tenacious individual, with a proven ability to take initiative and work independently and within a team
• Team player: authentic, genuine person who is capable of working toward collective goals

Responsibilities

• Work alongside Virtu’s senior traders on a variety of exciting and challenging projects
• Interns will spend most of their time solving trading problems as they occur in the markets and working from a menu of projects with the team
• Projects can come from a variety of trading desks such as Foreign Exchange, Fixed Income, Options, ETFs, Energy and more
