Job summary

A leading Aerospace company in Singapore seeks an experienced Quality Supervisor to lead Quality Technicians in ensuring product quality and delivery expectations. Candidates should possess a degree or diploma in Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering, along with relevant supervisory experience. Key tasks include quality control, internal audits, and training initiatives. This role demands strong leadership and communication skills.

Qualifications

  • 3 years relevant experience with a degree in Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering.
  • 5 years relevant experience with a diploma in Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering.
  • Minimum 3 years in a supervisor or leadership role.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise Quality Technicians to meet product quality expectations.
  • Coach and develop Quality Technicians’ skills.
  • Plan and support operations by addressing risks and opportunities.
  • Support inspection and gaging issues in cells.
  • Perform Relentless Root Cause Analysis on non-conformance.
  • Maintain and improve quality control procedures.
  • Conduct internal quality audits.
  • Lead certified operator/instructor training.

Job description
Roles and Responsibilities
  • Lead and supervise Quality Technicians in cell to meet product quality and customers’ delivery expectation.

  • Coach and develop Quality Technicians’ skills, establish job expectations and manage work performance.

  • Able to plan, perform and support operation with addressing the risks and opportunities.

  • Support cells in inspection and gaging issues. It includes inspection plans, equipment and techniques.

  • Perform Relentless Root Cause Analysis (RRCA) on product and process non-conformance.

  • Maintain, implement and improve quality control procedures and inspection processes.

  • Perform Preliminary Material Review, analyze trend analysis and publish reports on non- conformance hardware.

  • Participate in internal quality audit to maintain a robust and effective Quality Management System.

  • Conduct certified operator / inspector training and managed Certified Operator audits.

  • Participate in performance improvement processes through CORE. To drive existing and future improvement projects.

  • Lead, educate and instruct shop personnel on Quality procedures and Standards compliance.

  • Perform supervisory related activities & Manage receiving inspection activities.

Requirements
  • Degree in Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering with 3 years relevant experience; or

  • Diploma in Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering with 5 years relevant experience.

  • At least 3 years of supervisor/leadership role in a Precision Engineering environment.

  • Preferred Skills (if any):

    • Has good working knowledge on Quality Management System meeting AS9100 requirements.

    • Knowledge of Co-Ordinate Measuring Machine (CMM), and Non Destructive Testing (NDT) will be added advantages.

    • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
