As a Qualcomm Quality Engineer, you will plan, implement, and manage compliance of design, development/manufacturing, production processes, and/or quality requirements with safety, quality, and regulatory standards for worldwide distribution. Qualcomm Engineers collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet and exceed customer expectations.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Applied Science, Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field and 4+ years of Quality Engineering or related work experience.
  • Master's Degree in Applied Science, Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field and 3+ years of Quality Engineering or related work experience.
  • PhD in Applied Science, Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field and 2+ years of Quality Engineering or related work experience.
Responsibilities:
  • Define clear entry/exit and acceptance quality criteria to objectively evaluate the quality of process and products.
  • Facilitate the review process by organizing review sessions, consolidating feedback and following up on action points.
  • Promote continuous improvement by making recommendations through regular reporting to the relevant stakeholders.
  • Plan key quality assurance milestones and activities such as work product reviews, assessments on the risk levels (verifications and validation).
  • Provide direction and guidance to the team to ensure accurate risk assessment evaluation of all on-going activities with respect to quality.
  • Review on-going process change and project qualification with team members.
  • Lead the team discussion of complex qualification and evaluation requirements, analysis of failure mode, root cause and corrective actions investigation.
  • Half-yearly review of team members’ performance and skillset capability to determine the training needs and to review team structure for succession plan.
Education/Experience Requirements:
  • Master/Degree in Quality Engineering, Material, Electronics, Electrical or Quality Engineering/Assurance is desired for positions in this field, or equivalent.
  • Experience in high volume manufacturing of electronics components in an MNC or Semiconductor industry.
  • Possess strong technical competencies in your field of study.
  • Able to work under pressure and with strong commitment at work.
  • Good knowledge of statistical and quality tools.
Skills, Abilities & Knowledge:
  • Strong organizational, leadership, communications and interpersonal skills.
  • Good knowledge of manufacturing process and capable of applying them effectively at work.
  • Manage changes effectively.
  • Systematic troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills using cause‑and‑effect, 5 whys analysis, etc.
  • Application of quality and SPC tools at work – FMEA, DOE, SPC, etc.
