Job description

The Quality Specialist (APAC) will be a key member of Vita Coco’s Technical Team, supporting the company’s mission to deliver safe, high-quality products across the region. This role focuses on ensuring compliance with quality and food safety standards, supporting new product launches, and driving continuous improvement initiatives across Vita Coco’s supplier network and manufacturing partners.

Key Responsibilities
Quality Management & Continuous Improvement
  • Monitor and track quality data from multiple sources to drive continuous improvement in quality performance.
  • Support the execution of Vita Coco’s quality management strategies and goals.
  • Maintain and audit supplier network quality and food safety operations in compliance with US FDA, EU Regulations, and customer requirements.
  • Conduct supplier training sessions on quality procedures and new product introductions.
  • Perform on-site investigations, manage non-conformances, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
Product & Process Support
  • Provide technical support for new product launches, ensuring products meet Vita Coco’s quality standards.
  • Partner with the Operations and Technical teams, assisting with troubleshooting and issue resolution.
  • Review product quality complaints, coordinate root cause analyses, and ensure timely resolution.
Reporting & Analysis
  • Collect, review, and report quality data using analytics tools (e.g., Power BI, Python, or similar).
  • Prepare periodic reports and track project progress related to quality improvement initiatives.
Compliance & Auditing
  • Monitor adherence to regulatory and internal quality standards.
  • Participate in internal and third-party audits.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Food Technology, Microbiology, or a related technical discipline.
  • 2–5 years of experience in Quality Management and/or R&D within the food and beverage industry.
  • Experience with aseptic Tetra Pak processes is a plus.
  • Experience in Supplier Management is a plus.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and business analytics tools (Power BI, Python, etc.).
  • Familiarity with project management concepts and tools.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across diverse teams and regions.
  • Flexibility to work extended hours and travel internationally across APAC.
