Job Summary
Micron’s Quality Management System (QMS) is the structured set of interrelated processes we use to implement quality policy and achieve quality objectives across people, processes, and technology. The QMS Engineer ensures this system is effective, compliant with key standards (e.g., ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 where applicable), and continuously improving so that quality remains a strategic differentiator and Micron remains our customers’ first choice.
Main Responsibilities
- Own and improve respective Micron’s QMS processes and drive end‑to‑end process clarity, interactions, and documentation.
- Ensure and improve compliance (e.g., ISO 9001; IATF 16949 for automotive lines), coordinate with sites and auditors, and close findings to standard.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to collect required inputs and ensure alignment.
- Ensure QMS process changes are cascaded to the site team.
- Track and monitor key performance indicators related to the respective QMS processes.
- Resolve non‑compliance in the quality system.
- Assist in planning and supporting audits.
- Drive quality improvement initiatives and projects and participate in cross‑functional improvement activities.
- Track and manage cost budget.
- Utilize artificial intelligence (AI) tools and robotic process automation (RPA) technologies to enhance effectiveness and drive efficiency improvements in the QMS processes.
Job Requirements, Qualifications/Experience
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Materials, Electrical, Electronics Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
- Strong analytical, logical, and critical thinking skills.
- Effective communicator, able to collaborate across all levels.
- Growth mindset with a passion for continuous learning.
- Internship or experience in the semiconductor industry is a plus.
- Demonstrated leadership and a track record of impact are highly desirable.
- Interest in and knowledge of the semiconductor industry and Micron.
- Structured thinking and data‑driven approaches to identify root causes and implement sustainable solutions.
- Attention to detail to ensure accuracy and compliance in documentation, reporting, and execution of tasks.
- Familiar with AI tools such as Python, Power Automate, Power Apps, Power BI, and Tableau.
- Familiar with engineering principles, quality systems such as Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA), Change Management, Measurement System Analysis, Calibration, and other quality and statistical methods and tools will be advantageous.
