Job Summary: As a Quality Inspector in MSB Quality Engineering (QE) Operations, you will play a key role in ensuring that Micron’s products meet high‑quality standards and customer needs. You will identify and manage quality risks, support process guidelines, and help improve our manufacturing operations. The position requires strong attention to detail, consistent operational rigor, clear communication, and active involvement in safety, quality and improvement efforts. Key Responsibilities
Quality Inspection & Operational Excellence
- Perform visual and system‑based inspections on products using microscopes, inspection tools and automated equipment.
- Complete inspection processes according to established quality standards, specifications, procedures and change notifications.
- Identify, document and report product defects, abnormal trends and quality risks in a timely manner.
- Support containment, disposition and recovery activities for quality‑related events.
- Ensure inspection activities are completed accurately and efficiently to support manufacturing commitments.
- Maintain data integrity and accurate recording of inspection results, machine status and operational activities.
Equipment & Process Monitoring
- Operate, monitor and perform basic troubleshooting of inspection tools and equipment.
- Advance equipment, process or system abnormalities promptly to appropriate support teams.
- Support workstation readiness, machine coverage and operational continuity during shift operations.
- Participate in process qualifications, audits and compliance assessments as required.
Quality System & Compliance
- Ensure adherence to QE operational procedures, quality management system requirements and cleanroom protocols.
- Maintain workplace organization and sustain 6S standards.
- Support internal, customer and external audit readiness activities.
- Align with all ESD, contamination control, safety and environmental requirements.
Continuous Improvement & Digital Enablement
- Find opportunities to improve quality performance, operational efficiency and inspection effectiveness.
- Participate in improvement initiatives involving automation, digitalization, AI/Copilot or other operational excellence programs.
- Apply data dashboards and digital tools to support decision‑making and operational monitoring.
- Provide recommendations to improve workflows, defect detection capability and quality outcomes.
Training & Knowledge Development
- Complete all required certifications and recertifications within designated timelines.
- Participate actively in On‑the‑Job Training, cross‑training and knowledge‑sharing activities.
- Demonstrate continuous learning and adaptability to new technologies, equipment and process requirements.
- Support onboarding and coaching of new team members when assigned.
Communication & Teamwork
- Accurately receive, document and communicate shift pass‑down information.
- Collaborate effectively with engineers, technicians, operators, manufacturing and support teams to resolve operational issues.
- Advance concerns appropriately and provide timely updates on quality and operational matters.
- Foster a positive and collaborative working environment aligned with Micron values.

- Follow all safety, health, environmental and ergonomic requirements.

Qualifications & Requirements
Education
- GCE N/O Level, SPM or equivalent experience or qualification.
- Relevant manufacturing, semiconductor, engineering or quality experience is advantageous.
Technical Competencies
- Ability to perform inspection tasks using microscopes and inspection equipment.
- Basic computer literacy and ability to operate production and quality systems.
- Ability to interpret work instructions, specifications and operational procedures.
- Experience with manufacturing, quality or cleanroom operations is preferred.
AI & Digital Proficiency
- Willingness to adopt AI‑enabled ways of working.
- Ability to apply digital tools, dashboards, automation solutions and AI assistants (e.g., Microsoft Copilot) to improve productivity, quality monitoring and decision‑making is advantageous.
- Open to continuous learning in emerging technologies and digital transformation initiatives.
Language
- Able to understand, read and communicate effectively in English.
Work Schedule & Environment
- Capable of working 12‑hour rotating shifts, encompassing both day and night hours.
- Capable of working in a regulated manufacturing setting, including Cleanroom and ESD‑protected zones.
- Able to perform microscope‑based inspections and repetitive visual assessment tasks.
