Additional Responsibilities And Preferred Qualifications

PayPal Global Solutions Engineering Quality Engineering team is looking for seasoned software quality engineers based in Singapore to:

• Perform functional testing, integration testing, performance testing and end‑to‑end testing of our products.
• Design, develop and maintain automation test cases and write test reports.
• Follow SOP, work with SRE and developer teams to triage live issues, conduct RCA investigations to maintain high site availability and win customers back.
• Continuously improve testing efficiency by leveraging new testing techniques, tools and AI.
• Collaborate with business, product and developers located in multiple locations to shape our payment products and win together.

Preferred Qualification

• Excellent understanding of computer science fundamentals, algorithms and data structures.
• Understanding of SDLC, experience with large‑scale distributed software system testing.
• Strong background with backend/middleware such as RESTful, gRPC, Redis, RabbitMQ, and experience with relational or NoSQL databases.
• Strong coding capability with Python/Java, familiar with pytest, testNG, Postman, Playwright or Selenium.
• BS/MS in Computer Science or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of professional work experience.
• Motivated and self‑driven.

Good to Have

• Familiarity with payment, checkout, onboarding, compliance, and risk domains.
• Hands‑on experience using Jira/Confluence and test‑management tools such as TestRail and BrowserStack.
• Organized, methodological problem‑solving, independent execution.
• Innovative, creative, and able to think outside the box.
• Rapid exploration of options.
• Fail‑fast mentality and strong learning capability.
