Job Description
The role involves overseeing QC engineers, implementing QA/QC procedures, and ensuring all electrical installations meet project, industry, and statutory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the QC (Electrical) team in executing quality control activities for electrical works.
- Develop, review, and approve quality procedures, inspection test plans (ITPs), and method statements.
- Oversee inspections, testing, and audits of electrical equipment, cabling, and installations.
- Ensure all works comply with project specifications, codes, and safety regulations.
- Manage non-conformance reports (NCRs), corrective actions, and preventive measures.
- Coordinate with consultants, clients, and subcontractors on quality-related issues.
- Maintain and manage quality documentation, inspection records, and test reports for audits and handover.
- Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and guidance to QC engineers and site staff.
Job Requirements
- Degree/Diploma in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in electrical quality control for large-scale construction projects, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
- Strong knowledge of LV/MV electrical systems, testing procedures, and QA/QC standards.
- Familiarity with Singapore codes, regulations, and authority submission requirements.
- Demonstrated leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and coordination abilities.
- Experience in large infrastructure or industrial projects is preferred.
- Willingness to work at Tuas with transportation pick up at designated MRT station.
