As a QC Supervisor, you will be responsible to manage and lead a team of QC Lab associates from Finished Production Inspection team to perform inspection and testing of products to meet quality standard according to established Standard Operating Practices (SOP), as well as any applicable federal regulations or industry standards

In this role, a typical day will include:
  • Monitoring of Product Quality Compliance
  • Complies with Quality and HSE procedures when carry out sampling, QC tests and release
  • Establish Standard Operating Procedures and conditions for handling, storage, and preservation of samples for testing
  • Issue, conduct NCR and OOS investigation as a certified investigator, identify root cause and determine appropriate CAPA. Ensure all TW records are closed timely.
  • Analyse testing results and the frequency and severity of product defects and quality lapses
  • Approve testing documentation and test records
  • Guide testing activities to ensure correct testing procedures, conditions and processes are used
  • Manage Laboratory Operations
  • Maintain integrity, accuracy and completeness of QC data and records
  • Meet quality objectives set by management & comply to Alcon, QMS and Safety requirements
  • Provide direction and supervision to direct reports. Conduct career dialogue and follow up on individual’s development plan. Ensure backups for all roles and responsibilities
  • Plan, lead and control all quality inspection and testing activities are executed in compliant to local SOP, Alcon Corporate standards, and regulatory requirements
  • Trend, analyze and monitor key performance indicators to ensure operational effectiveness and execute improvement opportunities to improve performance and efficiency
  • Implement changes which includes GCM change request, SOP revision, impact assessment and go live plan
  • Lead and execute continuous improvement initiatives to improve productivity, efficiency, and cost optimization
  • Support internal and external audits and is responsible for audit finding closure, as required
  • Work with cross-functional teams to ensure operations continuity Perform other duties as assigned by QC lab Manager
  • Ensure Quality and HSE compliance as per Alcon guidelines:
  • Complies with all policies and standards
  • Ensure zero HSE incidents
  • Act as Support Auditor for cross functional audit as required
WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO ALCON:
  • Degree in Chemistry or any other related science or Engineering field
  • Min 8 years of experience in a quality control lab in a pharma/ medical industry
  • Supervisory experience in overseeing a team of technicians/ inspectors
  • Transport provided from Boon Lay, Outram Park and Kranji MRT
