A quality control firm is seeking a professional to oversee and maintain quality standards for fresh produce. Responsibilities include conducting inspections, managing quality complaints, and tracking data. Candidates should possess a strong understanding of quality indicators and experience with QC tools. The role is based in Singapore and offers a yearly renewal contract with competitive compensation.
Location: Pasir Panjang Wholesale Center
Commitment Period: Yearly Renewal Contract
Working Hours: Monday to Saturday | 8am to 5pm (Up to 44 Hours)
Salary: $2300 - $3100 (with OT & Allowances)
Job scope:
Develop and maintain quality standards, SOPs, and inspection processes.
Conduct and supervise QC checks on inbound shipments (maturity, ripeness, defects, temperature, packaging).
Track and retrieve temperature recorder data, report issues to procurement and suppliers.
Manage quality complaints, investigate root causes, and execute corrective/preventive actions (CAPA).
Prepare daily/weekly QC reports for management insights.
Handle stock counting, verification, and event packing arrangements (kiwi, longan, tomatoes, etc.).
Support any ad hoc operational needs.
Requirements:
Strong understanding of fresh produce quality and ripeness indicators.
Ability to identify defects (softness, bruising, mold).
Familiar with QC tools (brix meter) and cold chain temperature standards.
Basic computer literacy with traceability knowledge (batch/lot tracking).
Able to complete QC documentation and temperature recorder retrieval.
