Job summary

A battery manufacturing company in Singapore is seeking a dedicated individual for product qualification and validation tasks, including managing trials and documentation. The role requires communication skills in English and basic knowledge of measurement tools. The ideal candidate should be physically capable of handling equipment and must not be colour blind.

Qualifications

  • Prefererably able to speak, write and understand simple English.
  • Basic computer knowledge such as EXCEL.
  • Basic knowledge on the use of measuring instruments e.g. Caliper, Dial gauge.
  • Must be able to carry 15kg of batteries.
  • Must not be colour blind.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, execute, and monitor product qualification tests.
  • Support production trials and process validation runs.
  • Prepare detailed qualification and trial reports.
  • Participate in root cause analysis and corrective actions.

Job description
Key Responsibilties

1. Product Qualification & Validation

  • Plan, execute, and monitor product qualification tests in accordance with internal procedures, customer requirements, and industry standards.
  • Set up and operate test equipment, measurement tools, and fixtures for qualification trials.
  • Verify dimensional, functional, and performance characteristics against specifications.

2. Trial Management

  • Support production trials and process validation runs.
  • Monitor trial progress, collect process/product data, and identify deviations or defects.
  • Work with engineering and production to resolve issues identified during trials.
  • Ensure trial samples are properly identified, stored, and traceable.

3. Documentation & Reporting

  • Prepare detailed qualification and trial reports, including test results, data analysis, and observations.
  • Maintain accurate records for compliance, traceability, and audit readiness.
  • Support creation or revision of quality-related documentation, including inspection plans, checklists, and SOPs.

4. Continuous Improvement

  • Participate in root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action activities related to trial failures.
  • Recommend process or inspection improvements based on trial results.
