Responsibilities
1. Quality Planning & Documentation
- Develop and implement Project Quality Plan (PQP), Inspection & Test Plans (ITP), Method Statements and Quality Checklists for all interior fit-out and A&A works.
- Ensure all documentation complies with BCA, SCDF, MOM and project specifications.
- Maintain proper records of material approvals, shop drawings, RTO/RPE submissions, and as-built documentation.
2. Site Inspections & Quality Control
- Conduct daily site inspections for carpentry, partition works, MEP works, ceiling installation, glazing, flooring, painting, and architectural finishes.
- Ensure all works comply with approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
- Verify that works are ready before RTO/Clerk-of-Works inspections and client walkdowns.
- Raise and follow up on Non-Conformance Reports (NCR/QN).
3. Coordination & Technical Support
- Coordinate with Project Manager, Site Supervisors, subcontractors, and suppliers on quality requirements.
- Advise on material selection, workmanship issues, and propose corrective actions.
- Review subcontractors’ method statements and ensure compliance.
4. Material & Workmanship Verification
- Inspect and verify delivered materials against approved samples / material submittals / shop drawings.
- Maintain material traceability and ensure proper storage on site.
- Conduct mock-up inspections and ensure workmanship meets client and consultant standards.
5. Testing & Compliance
- Arrange and oversee testing such as:
Moisture tests for flooring
Adhesion tests for paint / coatings
MEP integration inspections
Fire-stopping checks
- Ensure compliance with authorities’ requirements (BCA, SCDF, PUB, IMDA, etc.).
6. Reporting & Quality Metrics
- Prepare daily quality reports, inspection records, test results, and defect logs.
- Highlight recurring defects and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Support final inspections, TOP/CSC submissions (if applicable), and handover documentation.
