Job summary

VMD PTE. LTD. is seeking a Quality Assurance lead to establish and maintain the ISO 9001 QMS, ISO 22301 BCMS, and QAPs across critical manufacturing processes in Singapore.

You will drive continual improvement, perform internal and supplier audits, and lead CAPA investigations to ensure product quality and compliance. The role requires hands-on experience with metalworking/automotive contexts, strong English communication, and the ability to work independently and with cross-functional teams

Qualifications

• Degree/Diploma in Engineering or equivalent technical field.
• 2 years hands-on experience in QMS management within metalworking and automotive engineering with inspections and supplier interaction.
• Proficient in QMS implementation, maintenance, and interpretation of mechanical fabrication requirements.
• Capable of independent judgment in inspection and verification tasks.
• Strong command of English, both oral and written, for communications and reporting.
• Qualified QMS Internal Auditor.

Responsibilities

• Establish, implement, and maintain the QMS (ISO 9001) and BCMS (ISO 22301), and QA plans across projects.
• Lead audits with Certification Bodies, suppliers, customers, and internal teams.
• Drive continual improvement to enhance process effectiveness and QMS awareness.
• Perform material reviews and manage containment, correction, and disposition of nonconforming products.
• Conduct RCA and implement CAPA to resolve issues and maintain customer satisfaction.
• Plan and conduct audits; travel locally and overseas as required.
• Collaborate with customers, suppliers, and operations to meet manufacturing requirements.

Job description

Responsibilities

• Report to Head of Quality.
• Establish, implement, and maintain the ISO 9001 Quality Management System (QMS), ISO 22307 Business Continuity Management System (BCMS), and project Quality Assurance Plans (QAPs), including validation, factory acceptance, and mobility activities.
• Drive continual improvement initiatives within the Quality Management System (QMS) to enhance process effectiveness.
• Improve awareness of QMS, BCMS and QAP.
• Inspect products at incoming, in-process, outgoing, final, and acceptance-test stages-including validation, factory acceptance, and mobility - including assessment of potential risks to identify appropriate control measures.
• Develop and refine inspection methods, and define acceptance criteria
• Plan, conduct and follow through on audits including Certification Bodies, Supplier, Customer and Internal.
• Collaborate closely with Customers, Suppliers and Operations teams to ensure product manufacturing and servicing meet approved manufacturing requirements.
• Lead quality performance metrics establishment and reporting to support data-driven decision-making.
• Conduct material review of nonconforming products including identification and implement containments, corrections and other dispositions.
• Conduct root cause analysis (RCA), identify and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to resolve issues.
• Analyze Customer complaints, and work to resolve issues to maintain Customer satisfaction.
• Travel locally and oversea for work assignments.
• Other ad-hoc duties as assigned.

Requirement

• Degree/Diploma in Engineering of Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical or an equivalent technical field.
• 2 years hands-on experience in management of QMS within metalworking and automotive engineering with hands on physical inspections of products, wiring and acceptance tests, interaction with Customers and Suppliers.
• Proficient, implementation, maintenance, and conversion knowledge of QMS, interpretation of mechanical fabrication requirements.
• Capable of independent judgment in inspection and verification tasks.
• Strong command of English, both oral and written, for Customer correspondence and report writing.
• Qualified QMS Internal Auditor.
• Ability to work independently, collaboratively in a team environment and troubleshoot manufacturing quality issues on the ground from day one.

PreferredCompetencies

• Clear understanding of engineering risk assessment principles and methods.
• Knowledge of implementation and maintenance of ISO22301.
• Class 3 diving licence.
