A food manufacturing company in Singapore seeks a Quality Control Officer to ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain quality standards. Responsibilities include monitoring production, preparing documentation for audits, and conducting quality tests. Candidates should have a Nitec in a relevant field and practical knowledge of food safety principles. Attention to detail and problem-solving skills are essential for success in this fast-paced environment.
Perform daily monitoring and inspection of production and warehouse processes to ensure compliance with company standards and food safety regulations (e.g., SFA).
Review, verify, and maintain quality documentation, including batch records, checklists, and certificates of analysis.
Collect and label raw material, in-process, and finished good samples for testing and evaluation.
Prepare documentation and workspaces to ensure readiness for internal and external audits (e.g., Halal, GMP).
Log customer feedback and non-conformances, and track them through the resolution process.
Conduct basic physical and sensory tests on products in the quality control laboratory or test kitchen.
Monitor and enforce Good Manufacturing Practices and personal hygiene standards within the production area.
Prepare and communicate routine quality reports and findings to the QA Officer and management.
Nitec in Applied Food Science, Food Science & Technology, Chemical Process Technology, or a related field.
Practical understanding of food safety principles, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and Halal requirements.
Proficient in basic computer applications (e.g., MS Word, Excel) for documentation and reporting.
A keen eye for detail and a strong sense of responsibility.
Proactive and able to work effectively with minimal supervision.
A collaborative team player with a positive work attitude.
Good analytical and problem‑solving skills.
Able to thrive in a fast‑paced food manufacturing environment and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
