Job description
Purpose

To support the safe, secure, and efficient operation of the Company's containership fleet by assisting in QHSE implementation, marine operational monitoring, audits, documentation control, and emergency preparedness in compliance with statutory, class, flag, and Company requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support day-to-day marine operations of the containership fleet, including voyage monitoring and operational follow-up.
  • Assist in maintaining and implementing the QHSE Management System in accordance with ISM, ISPS, MARPOL, and Company procedures.
  • Assist in preparation, control, and distribution of SMS manuals, SSP, SOPEP, and other statutory or operational plans.
  • Act as a member of the internal QHSE audit team, supporting shipboard and office audits and follow-up of findings.
  • Assist in coordination of onboard drills, emergency exercises, and safety campaigns.
  • Support training administration, including Seagull Training or equivalent systems.
  • Support the Company Security Officer and act as alternate CSO when assigned.
  • Participate as a supporting member of the Company Emergency Response Team.
  • Monitor vessel movements and operational reports, escalating safety or operational concerns.
  • Assist with agent appointment coordination and general marine operational administration.
Requirements
  • Diploma or Degree in Maritime Studies, Nautical Science, Marine Engineering, or related discipline.
  • 2–5 years’ experience in containership operations, QHSE, or ship management environment.
  • Working knowledge of ISM, ISPS, MARPOL, and containership operations.
  • Strong coordination, documentation, and follow-up skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office and maritime management / QHSE systems.
