Job summary

A leading industrial services provider in Singapore is seeking a QHSE professional to ensure compliance with safety regulations, conduct audits, and provide training. Candidates should possess an Advanced Certificate in Workplace Safety and Health, with experience in the Power, Oil & Gas sectors being a plus. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential. The role requires the ability to travel within the APAC & ME region.

Qualifications

  • Experience of QHSE control procedures and standards.
  • Power, Oil & Gas experience is desirable.
  • Proficiency in specialised fields to understand and apply advanced policies, practices, procedures, concepts and principles.
  • Ability to travel throughout the APAC & ME region.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain legal and regulatory compliance of business activities from a QHSE perspective.
  • Ensure adequate QHSE risk management processes are in operation.
  • Carry out planned QHSE audits of company and client sites.
  • Provide induction and on-going QHSE training.
  • Monitor systems of work employed to ensure safety.

Job description
Job Duties
  • Maintain legal and regulatory compliance of business activities from a QHSE perspective.

  • Ensure adequate QHSE risk management processes are in operation by undertake hazard identification/risk assessments and develop procedures and safe work method statements.

  • Maintenance of registers for hazard identification, environmental aspects, legal and other compliance.

  • To carry out planned QHSE audits of company and client sites.

  • Manage ongoing compliance with the companies ISO certified and accredited Management Systems.

  • Provide induction and on-going QHSE training.

  • To routinely monitor TEAM facilities compliance with legal & regulatory obligations (i.e. asbestos, noise requirements, audiometric testing, vibration issues, environmental, etc).

  • To monitor systems of work employed at each company site to ensure that the company does not put company people (or property) at risk of injury or damage.

  • Administration of Management Reviews and Management Review Meetings.

  • Plan and communicate internal audit schedules, and undertake system audits, prepare for and respond to 2nd and 3rd party audits, as well as plan for and undertake 2nd party audits on suppliers.

  • To monitor standard & emergency safety protocols at company facilities to ensure that these are adequate and effective (i.e. Fire prevention measures, Emergency procedures, H&S information, First Aider provision, Signage, local PETE testing etc).

  • To administer and investigate any QHSE Accidents, Incidents or Near Misses Instigate corrective actions and make recommendations which will prevent a recurrence, as well as implement change.

  • To assist in defending the company against any legal actions taken by regulatory Authorities or other parties in matters relating to Health, Safety and Environment.
