Job summary

WuXi Biologics in Singapore seeks an experienced QC Microbiology Leader to oversee microbiology and environmental monitoring teams. You will manage testing, data review, investigations, and CAPA in a GMP-regulated setting, ensuring compliance and continuous improvement.

You will collaborate with Manufacturing, Engineering, Validation, and Quality to drive contamination control and risk management, while developing staff and ensuring audit readiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Chemistry, Microbiology, Biochemistry, or related science.
• 6+ years in Quality Control or GMP‑regulated environment with leadership experience.
• Strong knowledge of microbial contamination control and microbiological testing.
• SME with hands‑on pharmaceutical microbial control experience including utilities and cleanroom monitoring.
• Understanding of environmental control regulations and cGMP.
• Experience in validation/qualification of microbiological test methods and new tech.
• Proven investigations leadership using root cause analysis and CAPA processes.
• Familiarity with Quality Systems and document/change management.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and oversight of QC Microbiology and EM teams.
• Lead functions covering utilities, monitoring programs, and microbiological testing.
• Develop and manage environmental monitoring and contamination control plans.
• Lead investigations, change controls, and improvement initiatives related to microbiology.
• Serve as QC SME for microbiology assays and new technologies.
• Review data, guide quality decisions, and support client discussions.
• Supervise staff, training, performance, and talent development.
• Ensure compliance with cGMP, GDP, CFR, PIC/S and SOPs.
