Job summary

A leading chemical company in Singapore is seeking a Laboratory Technician to conduct analysis and application studies in polyurethanes. You will be responsible for calibrating instruments, maintaining proper documentation, and ensuring sample management. Ideal candidates will have a diploma in a chemical-related field and preferably 1-2 years of relevant experience. Strong lab knowledge and communication skills are essential for success in this fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Candidate must possess at least an ITE/Diploma in chemical-related fields.

Job description

Carry out analysis and application studies in the area of polyurethanes using laboratory equipment such as potentiometric titrations, gas chromatography, FTIR, Karl-Fischer, AAS, and universal testing machine.

Carry out technological evaluation of finished products using technological equipment and able to reproduce the customers' application processes.

Calibration and maintenance of laboratory instruments.

Ensure proper documentations of results, equipment and consumables.

Ensure proper sample management according to SOPs.

Carry out safety and housekeeping activities in the department.

Any other duties as and when required to be done by superior.

Requirements

• Possess at least ITE/Diploma in Chemical Process Technology, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Science & Technology or equivalent.
• Preferably 1 to 2 years of relevant experience in chemical/ petrochemical industry.
• On-the-job training will be provided.
• Good laboratory knowledge and methodologies.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Team player.
• Meticulous with an eye for accuracy.
• Proficient in MS Office.
• Ability to prioritize tasks based on urgency.
• Able to work under fast-paced environment.
• Candidate must be willing to work in Jurong Island.
