Job summary

A leading construction firm in Singapore is seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Manager. You will ensure all construction work meets quality standards and specifications, improve the Quality Management System, and monitor site works. The ideal candidate has at least 10 years of QAQC experience in EPC projects and strong communication skills. Willingness to work at the site and vendor locations is required.

Qualifications

  • At least 10 years of QAQC experience in EPC projects.
  • Experience in wastewater, desalination, water utility projects preferred.
  • Knowledge in inspection of pressure vessels and rotating equipment preferred.

Job description

Ensure the quality of all construction work performed on site are in accordance with the Company's Integrated Management System, specifications, and applicable legislative requirements.

Implement and improve Quality Management System on worksite in meeting requirements of ISO9001, 14001 and 45001 standards.

Preparation and submit Project Quality Plan, Inspection & Test Plan to Consultant/Owner for approval of work.

Liaison with Consultants/Owner/Subcontractors in carrying out site quality works.

Monitor, witness and coordinate site works such as RC Piling, Bore Piling, Pile load test, concrete strength test etc. with the operation teams.

Coordinate design and construction drawings with Civil, M&E consultants and construction teams to identify site constraints and resolve technical issues.

Ensure that all works are carried out in accordance with the Project Quality Plan, Safety Plan, Contract requirements, including drawing and specification.

Ensure that all inspection and test equipment are properly calibrated and controlled.

Conduct site inspection/audit on the sub-contractor/vendor to ensure works are in compliance with approved method statements and specifications & proper sequence of work.

Monitor and control quality of purchased products including conduct verification of purchased products in vendor's premises as specified in contracts.

Coordinate on all quality related matters with Project stakeholders (client, consultant, subcontractor, suppliers etc.)

Ensure that all controlled documents are administered effectively.

Ensure identification and traceability of incoming, in-process finished products.

Stipulate and implement adequate criteria for workmanship.

Define quality requirement for service and installation of products.

Monitor and control quality of process performed.

Ensure that all nonconforming materials and products are adequately controlled.

Investigate the root cause of NCR/CAR and ensure the corrective action are implemented to prevent recurrence.

Ensure that quality records are properly stored and maintained.

Provide on the job training to staff if necessary.

Perform other work duties as assigned.

Job Requirements
  • Diploma/Degree in Engineering or construction related field.
  • At least 10 Years of QAQC experiences in EPC projects.
  • Experience in wastewater, desalination, water utility package project is preferred.
  • Knowledge in Inspection of Pressure Vessel, FRP tanks, Rotating equipment such as pumps are preferred.
  • Able to read, understand and interpret technical requirements, quality procedures, drawings, P&ID.
  • Strong attention to detail, observation, organizational and leadership skills.
  • Good communication skills and able to work with people from all levels.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office such as Word and Excel.
  • Station at worksite, willing to travel and work at vendor location when required.
