Job summary

Flintex Consulting in Singapore is seeking a QA/QC Technician to ensure the quality and reliability of electric cable products. You will perform electrical and mechanical testing, inspect cables and accessories, and document results in SAP QM; coordinate with stakeholders to address customer requests.

Candidates with ITE Cert / Diploma in Electronics or Electrical and knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 QMS and SAP QM will have an advantage.

Qualifications

• ITE Cert / Diploma in Electronics / Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• 1 year of experience in electrical/electronic product testing and qualification; fresh candidates welcome.
• ISO 9001:2015 QMS knowledge is an added advantage.
• SAP QM module experience is a plus.
• Strong English communication and documentation skills.
• Proactive, detail oriented and able to work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and test cables and accessories using electrical and mechanical testing methods.
• Update results in SAP and maintain testing logs.
• Generate and issue acceptance test reports; summarize status for monthly reporting.
• Process Supplier Corrective Action Requests (CARs) and follow up on actions.
• Provide support for customer technical inquiries and test data requests.

The QA/QC Technician will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our electric cable products. The successful candidate will be involved in quality assurance and quality control processes, including electrical & mechanical testing and inspection of cables and accessories to comply with industry standards and customer specifications. The person in this position will be responsible for in-coming Quality inspection, update status in SAP QM module, release inspection lots in SAP, type testing of cable products, handling customer request such as test data and other technical information as requested. This includes necessary communication with all stakeholders.

Knowledge in electrical cable testing or Electrical & Electronic (E&E) product testing, along with experience in SAP QM Module will be an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Inspection & Testing of cable products & accessories

• Perform electrical & mechanical testing on electric cables and accessories using standard testing equipment to verify product quality and conformity
• Conduct dimension & visual inspections of cables and related components
• Update the result in SAP & product testing log
• Generate and issue acceptance test reports
• Summarize inspection status for monthly reporting
• Conduct routine incoming inspection and when prompted by customer complaints
• Generate Supplier Corrective Action Requests (CAR) and track corrective actions by liaising with the supplier

3. Compliance with Standards:

• Familiarize with and comply with international cable testing standards and procedures
• Contribute to achieving company and department KPIs through due diligence, duty of care, and personal accountability for quality assurance in all tasks

4. Liaise with Stakeholders:

• Effectively communication with relevant stakeholders

5. Maintain Records:

• Maintain records in SAP and other relevant records

6. Operate Laboratory Test Equipment:

7. Assist with Customer Technical Enquiries & complaints:

• Assist with product test reports and other technical documents when required
• Assist in Customer complaint processes to resolve issues quickly e.g. stock inspection

8. General Assistance:

• Assist in other day-to-day activities related to the QA department as assigned by your superior

Skills & Qualification:

• Min. ITE Cert / Diploma in Engineering (Electronics / Electrical) or equivalent
• Min. 1 year of experience in electrical / electronic product testing and qualification. Candidates without prior experience are welcome to apply
• Knowledge in ISO 9001: 2015 QMS standard will be added advantage
• Prior experience in SAP system experience especially in QM module will be an added advantage
• Good written and communication skills in English
• Good communication and maintain good relationship with Customers and other departments
• Proficient in Microsoft Words, Excel & Power point
