A construction and engineering firm in Singapore is seeking a qualified individual to manage site quality requirements for steel structures. The ideal candidate will have a diploma in Civil/Structural Engineering and at least 5 years of experience in site supervision. Responsibilities include overseeing inspections, ensuring compliance with local regulations, and supporting project documentation. Applicants should possess relevant certifications and knowledge of safety standards.
Tasks and Responsibilities
To manage Construction Site Quality requirements and ensure all activities are completed to QP’s acceptance.
Check structural steel alignment, level, plumb and correctness. Ensure welding, coating, grouting works, bolt tightening and fire-proofing activities are done to approved standards.
To assist Project Manager on structural erection works according to the approved drawings, resolve site quality issues, and ensure timely completion of the project.
Carry out regular site inspections and ensure compliance on quality requirements and that all works are carried out according to approved drawings.
Good understanding of local requirements to comply with Industrial best practices for erection of steel structures. Able to develop project quality plan and inspection checklists.
Able to interpret structural steel drawings with good understanding of structural connection details.
Support the site team to ensure proper site documentation such as QA/QC reports, shop drawings, as built submissions, etc. are well managed.
Ensure that all Site Safety, WSH and NEA requirements are strictly adhered to.
ITE Trade Cert or Diploma in Civil/Structural Engineering or equivalent.
QA/QC, Welding or NDT certification.
Experienced in full-time site supervision. Minimum 5 years work experience, with knowledge in construction/erection of steel structures, workshops, or warehouses.
Familiar with local authority’s regulations, including BCA, MOM, WSH, Lifting and NEA requirements.
Knowledge of Excel spreadsheet and Microsoft applications will be required.
