Job Description
We are seeking an experienced QA/QC Engineer (Mechanical – Rotating Equipment) to participate in the procurement and manufacturing process of rotating equipment such as compressors, pumps, emergency diesel generators, etc. The role covers the entire lifecycle from RFQ to shipment, including quality inspections, vendor liaison, audits, and resolution of non-conformances to ensure compliance with project and company requirements.
Responsibilities
- Gain familiarity with company quality requirements and ensure they are implemented in projects.
- Participate in meetings with vendors and company representatives to align on quality requirements.
- Attend Kick-Off Meetings (KOM) and prepare quality-related presentation materials.
- Review and comment on vendor documents (ITP, MPS, FAT procedures, reports, etc.).
- Communicate with vendors/clients regarding feedback or comments; arrange clarification meetings if required.
- Ensure Pre-Inspection Meetings (PIM) are scheduled and conducted; host PIM meetings when required.
- Verify Notice of Inspection (NOI) readiness and liaise with TPC coordinator for vendor inspections.
- Review and comment on TPC inspection reports.
- Raise and manage Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), ensuring vendor responses and root cause analysis (RCA) are completed within agreed timelines.
- Review manufacturer’s record books and as-built dossiers to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Engineering (Mechanical or related discipline).
- Minimum 8 years of relevant QA/QC experience in manufacturing, inspection, or execution of rotating equipment.
- Strong knowledge of ISO-9001 quality system requirements and implementation.
- Demonstrated working knowledge of applicable codes such as API 610 / 617 / 618 / 619 / 676.
- Preferably certified in CSWIP 3.1, AWS-CWI, or IWE, with NDT qualifications an advantage.
- Proficiency in English (written and spoken), with strong communication and coordination skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and related software tools.
- Strong problem-solving, teamwork, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
