Job Description

Sub Contractor firm seeking for Quality Assurance & Quality Control (QA/QC) engineer.

Job Responsibilities

1. Good standards and understanding construction quality assurance
2. Perform checks on the structural, architectural or material / works in steel, extrusion, metal (mild steel / stainless steel / aluminium), glass and aluminium sheet related to ensure that the final touch-up works are ready for inspections.
3. Coordinate on quality matters with project team, conduct regular inspection to ensure works are in compliance with method statements & proper sequence of work and in accordance to BCA’s good industry practice.
4. Ensure that all project quality records and quality audit plans are maintained, assist in yearly ISO audit.
5. Prepare Quality Control Plan, procedures, and QA/QC reports.
6. Conduct periodic training for site personnel and subcontractor’s workers where necessary.
7. Identify, feedback and provide corrective actions in areas of quality control and quality standards.
8. Gaining an understanding of main-con needs and requirements and communicating to them and the quality standards to the production teams.
9. Devise ways to improve the manufacturing process to ensure higher-quality goods.
10. Improve and review new specifications and procedures for products or processes.
11. Set the requirements for raw materials from suppliers and monitoring their compliance.
12. Ensure legal obligations are followed and ensuring compliance with regulatory bodies and with health and safety guidelines.
13. Inspect the final output, comparing it to the requirements, and approving or rejecting the final products.
14. Keep accurate documentation and performing statistical analysis.
15. Identify and resolve workflow and production issues.
16. Document QA/QC activities and creating audit reports.
17. Create training materials and operating manuals to ensure consistent quality.

Job Requirements

• Minimum 2 years relevant experience in Metal work and Facade industry.

• Strong attention to detail, observation, organizational, and leadership skills.
• In-depth knowledge of quality control procedures and legal standards.
• Working knowledge of tools, methods, and concepts of quality assurance.
