Job summary

A leading consulting firm in Singapore is seeking a Quality Inspector to manage quality checks on fruits and vegetables. The ideal candidate will hold a degree in Food Science or a related field and possess at least 2 years of experience in food quality control. Responsibilities include conducting inspections, supervising staff, and collaborating across the supply chain to ensure compliance. Job description
Job Description
  • Ability to identify the basic characteristics of fruits and vegetables.
  • Conduct fruit/vegetable raw material quality inspections according to specified standards and provide feedback.
  • Perform warehouse in/outbound quality checks for production materials, detect abnormalities, and prevent defective products from entering/leaving.
  • Supervise and guide operational staff on product handling to prevent non‑compliant products from flowing out.
  • Assist in communication and resolution of product‑related issues and complaints.
  • Collaborate across the supply chain; promote and follow up with suppliers, procurement, quality, production, warehousing, and logistics on quality management processes.
  • Complete other tasks assigned by leadership.
Job Requirement
  • Minimum Degree in Food Science / Safety / Biology / Agriculture or equivalent
  • Familiar with production quality control key points for fresh food.
  • Familiar with supplier audit and sampling/inspection processes.
  • Able to draft and optimize SOPs.
  • Possession of certifications such as HACCP, ISO22000 is advantageous.
  • 2+ years of experience in food enterprises or third‑party testing institutions in food inspection/management.
