Job summary

A leading technology firm in Singapore is seeking a Video Streaming APPS QA Engineer to perform testing on video applications. You will utilize your coding skills in Python/JavaScript and tools like Selenium, Charles Proxy, and Wireshark. The role requires in-person lab visits and a proactive approach to resolving issues. Ideal candidates have experience with Windows and web application testing, as well as a background in accessibility testing.

Qualifications

• Coding experience on Python/JavaScript/Selenium is a MUST.

• Must be proactive and quick to resolve issues.

Job description

Video Streaming APPS QA Engineer local to Singapore

Coding experience on Python/JavaScript/Selenium is a MUST

User facing App Testing, Video App Testing in Samsung, Sony etc.,

Charles Proxy, Wireshark

Must visit Singapore lab in person from Day1

1. Experience in Windows & Web application testing
2. Experience working on Video and OTT application testing - for example Netflix / Instagram or similar application
3. Experience in testing accessibility products such as VoiceOver, Dynamic Type, Hover Text, and Full Keyboard Access
4. Be able to define test approaches and strategies, as well as execute functionality, compatibility, integration and reliability testing for streaming video applications running on Windows, iOS, macOS, web & 3rd party devices (like LG TVs, Roku, Amazon Fire TV stocks etc.).
5. Extensive experience in using CharlesProxy or Wireshark use of any such network monitoring tools.
6. Experience in functional test automation using scripting languages such as Python or Javascript. [ good to have]
7. Experience in back end service testing is a plus
8. Expert in triaging bugs, writing detailed bug reports, analyzing logs & taking bugs successfully to closure.
9. Unix Terminal Knowledge - Experience using command line interface to collect logs and diagnose problems
